Main Characteristics Children and youth inflicted with hearing impairment.
Vision The center's objective is to break through the "world of silence"
to provide the hearing impaired children with their special needs: education, rehabilitation, promotion of welfare and assisting them to integrate in the hearing
society. Every hearing impaired child of school age is entitled to receive all the
services and assistance "Shema" has to offer. Children who do not attend the
center are assisted at their homes by teachers trained by the "Shema" staff.
Special Programs Didactic diagnosis and training, Communication rehabilitation
hearing, speech and voice practice. Assistance and aid in classes, from first
grade to high-school guiding and advising the children and their parents.
"Bat-Kol" dance group which integrates hearing and hearing impaired dancers.
